PROJECT OVERVIEW

Nestled within the lush woodlands of Asheville, The Canopy Loft is a modern sanctuary designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. This two-story residence was envisioned as a tranquil retreat, combining contemporary architecture with organic materials to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and an elevated upper level provide a sense of openness, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding forest while maximizing natural light.

DESIGN CONCEPT

The Canopy Loft embodies the harmony between structure and nature. Its cantilevered upper floor, finished in warm wood paneling, extends outward, creating a floating effect that enhances the home’s connection with the landscape. The lower level, clad in dark metal, grounds the structure while offering a cozy, intimate living space. Thoughtful lighting design enhances the home’s ambiance, creating a soft glow that highlights the interplay between architecture and the environment. A winding stone path and carefully integrated landscaping further reinforce the home's commitment to sustainability and organic design principles.
